As The Crow Flies

Verse 1

In the twighlight in between what's awake and what is sleep
there's a place that I have been dew is sweet and sunlight streams
the wheat fields spread for miles underneath the bluest skies
through the hedgerows over stiles let's walk as the crow flies

Verse 2

cross the old brick bridge that spans the clearest stream
winding round and through the bullrush I watch it disappear
we can shelter april showers in between the hay bale high
wait for wind to blow the cloud and walk as the crow flies

Instrumental

Verse 3

following the woodland trail sacred place of hidden dreams
glimmer like a mirror ball Golden sunshine through the trees
branching like some ancient arms thousand miles of chestnut pail
all those dreams we dreamed today the fabric on a boat that's yet to sail
